How to Use the Blackjack Forum Professional Gambling Library:
[Note: Click here to go straight to the articles. Or see the index of articles at the left.]
This library provides information on a wide variety of professional gambling techniques. But because casino surveillance personnel also have access to this library, we have to take some care with how the information is presented. We have set up this library so that enough information is included for you to learn these techniques, but so that it's going to take some work on your part to gather the information.
The professional gambling information in this library is spread out through all of the articles. Each article has been included here because it provides an important piece of the professional gambling puzzle.
And more articles will be added monthly.
But you can't just read through the library once and expect that this will turn you into a professional gambler. Our advice is to read through the articles here, pick one professional gambling technique that especially interests you and that you think you understand, and go and try it at the tables!
Don't spend a lot of money trying it, however, because you are certain to make mistakes at first. All professional gamblers run into problems when they first try to use new techniques in live or online casinos. (This is one of the reasons why it's so important to learn techniques from active pros who are actually using them, and who can help guide you through the fine points.)
When you run into such problems yourself, come back to the library and read some more. You will find further tips on each technique spread out through other articles. Hints that you didn't recognize at first will suddenly leap out at you. Every time you come back to the library from the tables, you should find that you spot more.
And once you've mastered one professional gambling technique, start mastering another.
The biggest mistake players tend to make is getting stuck at the beginning level. They learn how to count cards, and never go any further. Card counting is a good place to start your professional gambling education, but don't let your career get bogged down in card-counting minutiae if you have serious ambitions to make money gambling. It's not a side-count, or slight change in betting strategy, that will get you the big money in gambling. It's advancing to shuffle-tracking or hole-card play or steering plays.
At the same time, don't get so bogged down reading about the theories behind professional gambling techniques that you never actually play. Again, you can't learn any professional gambling technique just by reading. You have to get out there and put your theories to the test by putting your money on the line. That's how you learn. That's how, over the long run, you get really good.
And remember, we are willing to help you. All we ask is that you show respect by taking the same care that we do to protect valuable information from casino personnel. We are asking you to be careful about sharing valuable information in places like online forums, which are read daily by casino surveillance staff.
The articles in this library have been written by the best active professional gamblers in the world—the people you will be reading about in the interviews in this library, and who first developed the techniques in these articles. My colleagues at Blackjack Forum Online are some of the people I admire most in the world, and I am meeting more talented players all the time.
I wish you success in your professional gambling career.
